Until now, I'd been hyping the show on a thread in the Entertainment section, but I'm going to do so from now in this blog.

If it's a Disney movie and it's full-length, I'll talk about it at some point (yes, that means I'll even do the direct-to-DVD sequels!). In short, the show's not just about the Disney animated canon. Next week, I'm going to look at 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. In the most recent episode, however, I talk about Spirited Away, the 2001 Hayao Miyazaki film that John Lasseter helped bring to the States under the Walt Disney Pictures banner. The first episode was inadvertently timed to coincide with Pixar's latest movie, Cars 2. The concept is simple: each week, I take a look at a different Disney movie and discuss it in-depth, solo (though I'm going to have guests soon, depending on the movie). This is my new Disney movie podcast, currently five episodes old. That's where Mousterpiece Cinema comes in. I tried my hand at an entertainment-themed podcast last fall, but I've found that my passion for podcasting lies equally in the world of Disney. In that time, I've also become a dedicated listener of a lot of podcasts, from comedy podcasts to movie podcasts to Disney park podcasts.

Since then, I've become more and more obsessed with the Disney theme parks (living only 6 hours from Disneyland means I'm more than a little biased for the West Coast park) and the Disney movies.

I'm Josh, posting here as mousterpiece, and while I'm relatively new as a poster to the MousePlanet forums, I've been lurking for a couple of years, ever since my wife and I went on our honeymoon to Walt Disney World in the summer of 2008.
